What is proper etiquette?
Messages posted to the AlzheimerList (AL) are not monitored for content or otherwise censored. Members may post whatever information they wish. In support of the List’s mission to support families, however, we do ask that members refrain from using profanity and try to keep their messages focused on dementia-related issues. Commercial advertising is strictly prohibited on the AL.
Can researchers recruit study participants using the AL?
Out of respect for AL members and accepted research standards, we request that researchers refrain from posting study recruitment requests to the AL without demonstrating proper human studies approval. If, as a researcher, you do post such a request, please include the name of your institution, the full name of the principal investigator (supervising professor if student research is involved), and the IRB protocol number for your study in the header of your message. If you have any questions about using the AL for study recruitment, please contact Dr. Galvin at the following email address: webmaster@abraxas.wustl.edu.
