Declare Research Intent
To avoid competing and possible conflicting projects, the Knight Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center provides this site for investigators to indicate their interest in pursuing a specific research project. Search for keywords in recent Knight ADRC research requests page to determine if your topic has previously been examined in some way. Often the same research question can be approached from multiple perspectives. If you find that your topic or a related topic has been submitted, you may wish to contact the investigator to inquire about their findings to determine how you might proceed. You may wish to collaborate or modify your request to avoid overlap. If after searching for potential overlapping projects, you wish to express your intent to pursue a research question with our Center’s resources, please provide specific aims of your planned research with Knight ADRC resources on the following page. Please be specific in stating your project, as broad topics (e.g. Alzheimer’s disease and imaging) are not useful or acceptable. On the other hand, please don’t submit proprietary information as this site is not secure. Submitting this information will document your intention to pursue this project, but does not substitute as request for Knight Center resources or guarantee exclusivity.
